The Lower Oldpark Community Association (LOCA) Housing Project Worker (HPW) delivers a Housing Advice Service within the Lower Oldpark neighbourhood.
This service is made available five days per week (Monday to Friday), 8.30am to 11.30 noon and 1.00pm to 3.30pm in the Lower Oldpark Community Centre.
There are occasions when the HPW is not available during these times. In these circumstances, client contact details are taken and appointments subsequently arranged.
During the period April 2021to March 2022, the HPW dealt with 286 advice inquiries.

The Housing Project Worker (HPW) carries out inspections of the local environment in the Lower Oldpark neighbourhood to identify problems such as dumping, litter, graffiti and vandalism. He also receives reports of problems from local residents. Problems identified are photographed and reported to the relevant organisations.
During the period April 2021 to March 2022, the HPW reported 258 problems.

Gardening Equipment Lending Service

Gardening Equipment Lending Service
Lower Oldpark residents can make use of a no cost gardening equipment lending service from April to September.
The service is provided by Lower Oldpark Community Association (LOCA).
It allows Lower Oldpark householders to borrow gardening equipment for up to two days.
It is only available to households that don’t have access to gardening equipment and who can use the equipment they borrow from LOCA or have someone to do the work for them using the borrowed equipment.
